filmporvida

A few months back a friend pointed me in the direction of Jai Tanju's print trading website/blog Filmporvida and it's been a daily visit ever since. A few friends have popped up on there since then so I thought I would participate too and sent some prints over to San Jose. Jai popped one of them up this morning.

Boogie

Tokyo magazine PingMag just put up a great little interview with Boogie, a Serbian photographer who moved to Brooklyn in the late 90s and proceeded to document the neighbourhoods and their drug and gang cultures. Stunning photography and a great read, have a look here.

Old Forgotten Prints

I keep a big shoebox full of prints that although I'm not in to them initially when I get them developed they still aren't crap enough that I throw them away. Recently I was looking for something specific and decided to go through the box as I had forgotten pretty much what was in there and was pleasantly surprised to find some photos I now quite like. Here are a few.

P.S. I'm in the middle of a few things at the moment resulting in a lack of updates, sorry! The first is changing the site to have a digital photo gallery and placing the hand developed photos in to the appropriate galleries. I've now developed 15 films, it doesn't make sense to keep them separate any more. I'm also working on a big project with the photos from my recent trip which is why I haven't added them to the site just yet. More details on this exciting (I think anyway!) project soon.

Ray

Developing & scanning is getting me down so for a break I went through some photos I took a little while ago and found this photo of Ray.

Home & To The Sink...

Vancouver, San Francisco and Seattle are all in these. Now I just need to spend a fair few hours at the kitchen sink and then the scanner. Results soon...
