Erik Hedman

I was lucky enough to get a look through 'A Celebration of Skateboarding and DIY' the other day, it's an awesome lofi photography book by the very talented Swedish photographer Erik Hedman. The book mixes black & white photos of friends (including the mighty Love Eneroth) setting up sketchy build it yourself street spots out of old bits of wood and discarded rubbish with full colour skate photos of the resulting spots getting shralped, all wrapped up with a foreword by Rich Holland from the Side Effects of Urethane collective. Even the cover is soaked in skateboarding with unique markings painted by the wheels of a board. As well the book Erik's website endoflage.com has some great skate and half-frame photos too. Check a couple of pics of the book and a couple of photos from his site as a taster...

Super8

I've updated the bio page with some super8 film projects i've worked on in the last couple of years. As well as the previous collaborative projects with dist.one i've added a brand new film i recently completed which is a collaboration with Russell Cowling called 'Winter Sun', a reworking of super8 film previously compiled for the 'Lately' video/dvd we worked on in 2005. I'm currently filming a load of super8 at the moment for another upcoming project, more details soon...

Curb Detritus

At the start of this year i began a little project of taking photos of some of the detritus washed up in the gutter from traffic, people and the weather. I've just added the photos to a curb detritus set on my Fickr.

Local Spots...

Had some fun skating some local spots last night with some friends and also taking a few photos and some super 8. Ray and I both had a go with Gorm's camera setup and i managed to take a snap of him tailtapping and Ray captured Gorm's frontside ollie. Gorm then took a photo of me scratching my tail. Check Gorm's photography at www.gorminator.com, some awesome photos on there. A Gorm/Quiet Corners collaboration zine is in progress at the moment, more details soon...
